Today I made cinnamon rolls. I am going to share a step by step picture sequence on how to make them. I made my dough with some milk, warm water, rapid rise yeast, some sugar, salt and lots of love. Any basic yeast dough with extra sugar will work. I let it rise for an hr before I punched it down and rolled it out. Here are some pictures and such of me rolling it out.
The second step of making cinnamon rolls is making your filling. Today I made my filling with 1 ½ jars of spiced sugar with corn starch. I made this by layering a jar with white sugar, brown sugar, corn starch then cinnamon. I shook the jar and made another one. Here are some pictures of the filling.
I then distributed and pressed in the 1 ½ jars of filling onto the dough, here is how I did that.
Then I rolled it up. I rolled it up and pressed it unto itself, like squeezed it together as I rolled. My hand below here shows that motion.
I then cut up the rolled dough and place it into a baking pan. A casserole dish.
I gave them some room in the pan to grow when I placed them and you can see that here.
I let the dough rise in the oven on 250 for about 20 minutes to make them rise more. I added a small dab of butter to each one after it rose. Then I baked them on 350 degrees until they were golden brown and ready to go.
These cinnamon rolls turned out amazing and we are giving them away to not get so fat and eat them all ourselves. I will admit I have had more then 3.. and gave 3 away, and now this is the pan.. we are going through them fast, they are super good, like ‘Cinnabon’ good and I am regretful for knowing how to make them this good.. now every Brunch, I know what I will be craving.
